Count the unpaid chips
Messages and revisions are chips that never appear on the invoice. Log them for two weeks.
Admin does not show as a line item, but it shows as hours.
What to log
- Writing quotes and follow-ups.
- Scheduling, delivery and payment chasing.
- Revisions that were not in the brief.
After two weeks, add those hours when you calculate the real rate. Then either price them in or drop the jobs that create too many of them.
